Life Legacy

Walter Randall Jr. Walter Randall Jr., 73, of Annapolis, died February 4 at Levindale Nursing Home in Baltimore after a lengthy illness. Born March 26, 1939, Walter was the fifth of ten children born to Walter and Claudia Randall. He was a 1957 graduate of Bates High School. Following graduation, Walter served four years in the Army. He later trained as a truck driver and worked in that capacity until his retirement. Walter also had an extensive career as a singer in the Annapolis area. He was the lead singer for the Van Dykes and the Pipe Dreamers. He was noted for his singing and dancing. Walter was preceded in death by four siblings, Dolores Queene and Victoria, Janice and Charles Randall. Walter is survived by five sons, Christopher Randall, William Randall and Rodney Randall of Annapolis, Kelly Randall of Baltimore and James Phaneuf of Glen Burnie; three daughters, Jannice Jones of Lusby, Cathy Godfrey of Annapolis, and Roberta Hawkins of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Allen Randall of Annapolis; four sisters, Shirley Pauls of Columbia; Jacquelyn Hull of Philadelphia, PA, Elaine butler of Somerset, NJ and Peggy Randall of Randallstown; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two previous marriages ended in divorce. A viewing will begin at 9 a.m., Monday at Mt. Moriah AME Church, 2204 Bay Ridge Avenue with a Christian Wake at 10 a.m. And service at 10:30 a.m.
